What we replace
Front and rear side windows (the openable doors), fixed quarter glass (the small triangular panels at A-pillar or rear pillar), and rear quarter panels. Heated and antenna-wired panels supported — we match the OE specification including any defrost wiring or antenna routing.
After a break-in: the clean-up matters
Side-window break-ins shower the interior with safety-tempered fragments — into seats, into the dashboard, into the boot lining and the door pockets. We vacuum the interior thoroughly before fitting the new glass; otherwise glass keeps surfacing in the carpet for months. Most replacement quotes from windscreen-focused outfits skip this step.
Same-day where stock allows
Common UK makes (Ford, Vauxhall, VW group, BMW, Mercedes, Toyota, Honda, Nissan) we usually fit same-day or next-day from stock. Less common models and some specialist glass take 1–3 days for the OE glass to arrive. We give you the realistic timeframe with the quote.
Insurance and excess
Side window replacement is treated by insurance as a glass claim same as a windscreen — separate excess, no impact on no-claims bonus on most policies. Excesses tend to be slightly higher (£100–£150) for non-windscreen glass on some policies. We confirm yours when you book.
