What's covered
Comprehensive policies almost always include glass cover: chip repair (usually no excess), full replacement (usually a fixed excess, typically £75–£100). Third-party-only policies usually don't cover glass — worth checking your policy schedule. Heated/ADAS/acoustic glass is generally covered at the same OE-spec the car needs.
Will a windscreen claim affect my no-claims bonus?
Glass claims sit in a separate category from at-fault claims. A windscreen replacement claim with most major UK insurers — Aviva, Allianz, LV=, AXA, NFU, the AA — does not affect your no-claims bonus or renewal premium. Worth confirming with your specific policy but it's the standard treatment.
How does the windscreen insurance claim work?
You give us your insurer name and policy number on booking. We confirm cover, raise the claim, fit the glass, and bill the insurer direct. You pay the excess (often nothing on a chip repair) and that's it. No call to your insurer required.
The insurers we work with
Approved by all the majors: Aviva, Allianz, LV=, AXA, NFU, AA and most of the smaller brokers. If your insurer isn't on the standard list, we'll confirm cover before we book.
