For common UK makes (where the OE glass is in stock at our depots), realistic same-day windows are 2–4 hours from your call across most of Greater London, longer at the edges of our patch. We tell you the honest window when you call — no "yeah we'll fit you in" then radio silence.
Specialist glass (older cars, performance/exotic models, some 4×4s) sometimes needs 24–48 hours for the OE glass to arrive at our depot. If your car falls in that bracket we tell you straight on the call — same-day might still happen with a non-OE option, but only if you accept the trade-off.
A windscreen with a crack across the driver's line of sight isn't roadworthy. Park it safely, send us a photo, and wait for the fitter — don't commute on it. Same goes for cracks that have lost the seal: the airbag deployment depends on the windscreen staying bonded.

Any crack longer than 10mm in the driver's direct line of sight (the area swept by the wiper directly ahead of the driver) is an MOT failure and arguably contravenes Construction & Use rules. Beyond that, the airbag deployment depends on the windscreen — driving on it isn't safe.

Same price as a standard appointment — there's no emergency surcharge. The price is the OE glass plus the fit, plus ADAS calibration where applicable. Insurance handles most of the cost on comprehensive policies.
We can come to you at the roadside provided it's safe to work — typically a layby, car park, or service area. M25 hard shoulder is not safe; in that case we recommend the car gets recovered to a layby first then we meet it there.
