VW's driver-assistance bundle — Front Assist (AEB plus pedestrian protection), Lane Assist, Side Assist, and Travel Assist (semi-autonomous lane-keep plus adaptive cruise) — runs on a forward-facing camera at the top of the windscreen. From the MQB-platform Golf VII and Passat B8 onwards, almost every VW has at least one camera that needs recalibrating after a windscreen replacement. We handle that in-vehicle at the same appointment.
Acoustic glass — for noise reduction at motorway speeds — is standard on Passat (B8 onwards), Touareg (3rd gen onwards), Arteon, and the upper-trim Tiguan, ID.4, ID.5. Most VWs have a rain-and-light sensor behind the rearview mirror that needs the right sensor-mount geometry. We fit OEM-grade glass that matches all of these specs.
