Modern MINI — BMW Group, BMW-grade ADAS
The modern MINI (F56 hatch from 2014, F60 Countryman, F66 Cooper from 2024 onwards) runs on BMW Group platforms and inherits BMW's ADAS suite — Driving Assistance with forward-facing camera, AEB, Lane Departure Warning, Cruise Control with Brake Function. When the glass is replaced, the camera needs recalibrating. We do that in-vehicle at the same appointment with BMW-spec calibration targets — same kit, same procedure as a BMW.
Classic Mini — gasket-fitted, NOT bonded
Classic Minis (Issigonis design, made until 2000) use GASKET-FITTED windscreens — a rubber surround that holds the glass against the body, NOT modern bonded urethane. Replacing a classic Mini windscreen is a fundamentally different job to a modern one — the rubber gasket has to be sourced separately (we have profiles in stock), the glass installed dry, and the trim work done by hand. We've done a lot of these. See the classic blue Mini in our gallery — gasket-fitted windscreen replacement, done on-site.
Heated screens on the modern range
Heated front screens are an option on most modern MINI trims — Cooper S Sport, JCW, MINI Electric. Where fitted, we source the OEM-grade heated variant. Fitting non-heated glass to a heated-screen MINI removes the feature.
Common MINI models we service
Every modern MINI: Cooper (F56, F66, R56, R50), Cooper S, John Cooper Works, Countryman (R60, F60), Clubman (R55, F54), Paceman (R61), MINI Electric. Classic Minis too — Mk1 to Mk7, Rover-era right back to the Issigonis original — gasket-fitted glass replacement at your address.
