Honda Sensing — the safety suite standard on every modern Honda since around 2018 — runs on a forward-facing camera mounted above the rearview mirror (and on some models a millimeter-wave radar at the grille). It powers Collision Mitigation Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Road Departure Mitigation. When the glass is replaced, the camera needs recalibrating. We do it in-vehicle at the same appointment.
Acoustic-laminate glass is standard on Civic upper trims, CR-V (from the 5th gen Hybrid onwards), and the Civic Type R. The interlayer dampens road noise at motorway speeds — fitting non-acoustic glass to a car that left the factory with it is a noticeable downgrade. We match the OEM spec.
